MY VISION

My vision

My vision for Awakening Birth is to create a warm, sacred space where women feel deeply supported, informed, and connected to their own inner wisdom as they move through pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood. I want to help recreate the feeling of the lost village in a modern world, where women are no longer expected to do this journey alone. Through community, ancient rituals, and gentle support, I hope women feel held, honoured, and empowered no matter how or where they birth.

My mission

The mission of Awakening Birth is to walk beside women with warmth, respect, and presence so they can feel confident in their own choices and trust their bodies, their babies, and their unique birth journey. I want to offer support that is not about telling women how they should birth, but about helping them feel grounded, resourced, and connected to their own power. Whether a woman births at home, in hospital, under a tree, or by caesarean, my mission is to honour her, celebrate her, and support her transition into motherhood with dignity and care.

My purpose

My purpose comes from my own three home births and from witnessing over the last decade how little support many women receive in the modern world. I have seen how much is missing — the village, the postpartum rest, the steady care, and the reverence that women deserve during this sacred time — and I have also witnessed the fear, trauma, and disempowerment that can happen when women are not truly heard or given real choice. Because of this, I feel called to help restore what has been lost, and to create spaces where women are supported, respected, and reminded that they already carry the strength and wisdom they need within them.
